TÜV certification | DIN EN ISO 9001:2015

Trading, brokering and handling of tin, tin alloys, tin waste, especially electronic solders, solder waste & consulting services in this area.

2018

TÜV certification | specialised waste management company (EfB)

MTM Ruhrzinn is now certified for the worldwide handling and brokering of all non-hazardous waste types, as well as the storage, treatment and recycling at the site.

2020

fastest growing environmental services provider in Europe

MTM Ruhrzinn becomes growth champion 2020! Statista, Focus Business and the Financial Times recognise MTM Ruhrzinn as the fastest growing environmental services provider in Europe and rank it among the top 30 fastest growing companies in Germany across all sectors.

2021

Takeover of WEGHV GmbH

WEGHV GmbH is acquired and, together with MTM Ruhrzinn, forms the MTM Group with immediate effect. With around 1.2 tonnes of gold, 20 tonnes of silver and more than 400 tonnes of refined copper waste, WEGHV is one of the most renowned contact points for the recycling of waste containing precious metals. The smelting facilities and in-house analysis laboratory increase the vertical range of manufacture and expertise within the MTM Group.

Move to new location

The growth course is continued: Not only a modern office, but also training facilities and a DGNB Gold-certified building, which is in line with our sustainability strategy, are moved into at the 1650 m² site. The new site will also be able to treat waste categorised as hazardous.

The DERA (German Mineral Resources Agency) at the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources ranks MTM Ruhrzinn - just nine years after it was founded - among the TOP 5 largest tin recyclers in Germany.

We are proud of our successful development and steady growth - to become one of the largest tin recycling companies in Germany. 10 years of customised recycling solutions to close raw material loops and 10 years with the best team!

Winner of the Electrifying Ideas Award from ZVEI e.V.

MTM Ruhrzinn receives the Electrifiying Ideas Award as a member of ZVEI e. V. (German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association). The jury honoured the innovative power, energy efficiency and major influence of MTM Ruhrzinn on current recycling processes for soldering tin waste.

Quality Manager (m/f/d)

As a quality management specialist, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic, international and owner-managed company specialising in sustainable and legally compliant recycling services for tin and waste containing precious metals in the electronics industry. As a waste management officer in accordance with EfBV, you will assume responsibility and ensure that hazardous and non-hazardous waste is handled in compliance with the law.

Your tasks:
  • Ensuring compliance with and continuous improvement of quality standards in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards
  • Management of the operating diary
  • Preparation, optimisation, review and control of external audits and training in the area of quality management
  • Responsibility for handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste by complying with legal requirements (in particular AVV, AbfG and KrWG)
  • Checking and applying for notifications and proof of disposal for all waste transports
  • Coordination of applications and authorisations by official authorities
  • Monitoring and coordination of occupational health and safety measures as an interface between different functional areas
  • Control of quality assurance measures in connection with the associated documentation
  • Risk assessment by identifying potential hazards and safety risks
  • Collaboration with external environmental lawyers
You bring the following with you:
  • You have completed vocational training or a degree with a focus on quality management or a comparable qualification
  • Professional experience in quality management is an advantage but not a must
  • You have a sound knowledge of the applicable waste management guidelines
  • Ideally, you already have experience with material flow management and conducting audits
  • You have strong analytical skills and possess problem-solving expertise
  • You work in a proactive, structured, organised and conscientious manner
  • You are characterised by assertiveness and stress resistance
